FLU VACCINES 2020
From Monday 23 November, if you are due to receive your flu vaccination and haven’t received an appointment, you can contact NHS Lanarkshire directly to request an appointment. Call 01698 687456 or email FluRebookingAppointments@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk with your name, address, date of birth and telephone number.
This year the Flu Vaccine Programme will be run and organised by Lanarkshire Health Board. Everyone who is eligible for the Flu Vaccine will receive a letter stating time, date and place. This will not be done in the GP surgery this year. Further information is available at NHS Inform.https://www.nhsinform.scot/healthy-living/immunisation/vaccines/flu-vaccine

In light of further studies by the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN), the Scottish Government has now updated its advice on Vitamin D supplementation. Please follow this link for further information: http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Health/Healthy-Living/Food-Health/vitaminD
New Musculoskeletal Service
Patients with muscle and joint problems can now be seen by our new Advance Practice Physiotherapist Service at Alison Lea Community Clinic WITHOUT THE NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR FIRST. Please ask our reception staff to book an appointment directly.
Treatment Room at Alison Lea
The Treatment Room at Alison Lea is no longer staffed every day. If patients can't make a booking there they should phone either Hunter Health Centre - 01355 906600 - or Greenhills Health Centre - 01355 234325 - to make their appointments. Open access Phlebotomy service now available at Hunter Health Centre, patients will need to take forms and labels to appointment.
Our Practice is a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
Make an appointment with our Practice Nurse. We can administer Yellow Fever vaccinations whether you are our patient or not. There is a charge for yellow fever immunisation (and other travel immunisations) as it does not come under the NHS.
If you give your mobile number to reception we'll text you the day before your appointment as a gentle reminder.
